Grayton Beach has been here since the 1890s — the oldest of the 30A beach towns, and proudly the least polished. Under the live oaks between Western Lake and the Gulf sit generations of cottages, no two alike: hand-built garages, converted boat sheds, doors added decades apart. It's our favorite kind of work and the least standard territory on the map.
Grayton doors are originals — odd widths, low headroom, hardware installed before modern standards existed. Off-the-shelf fixes rarely drop straight in, and heavy-handed replacements would erase the character that makes the town. We measure, adapt, and fit modern safety and coastal-grade parts into openings that were never standard — keeping the weathered look while the hardware underneath quietly becomes new.
